Dixie Belle is a fourth-generation farm that stretches over the South Carolina counties of Aiken, Edgefield and Saluda. The area is known as the Ridge and the Ridge is known for peaches. Most of the state’s peaches are grown here, and Dixie Belle’s rank among the best. For two years straight, it landed on the Stone Fruit Growers’ national Top 20. Dixie Belle ships more than 30 varieties of peaches throughout the United States and Canada. During peak season, the farm employs more than 200 people and packs a half-million pounds a day of the premier peach on the market.
Recently Dixie Belle has undergone a multi-million-dollar expansion, established new orchards with the latest peach varieties and renovated its packing facility to meet the demands of valued customers. The company also has installed computerized sizers and hi-tech, fruit friendly machinery allowing Dixie Belle, among other things, to package fruit any way customers request, including clams, trays, gift packs and volume-filled boxes. |
